Jane’s love of storytelling and her skills as an interviewer have earned Mitchell a host of fans and a number of local, regional and national awards.

Mitchell is also a primary feature reporter for the Padres pre-game show and co-hosts the in-depth interview show “Forefront” and the annual “Holiday Bowl Parade.” She was part of “Channel 4 Super Bowl” in 1998 and 2003, and “Countdown to Downtown” coverage for the opening of PETCO Park.

Mitchell joined Cox Communications in 1996 to produce and report for “The Cox Convention Connexion” covering the RNC in San Diego. She was then hired to help create Channel 4 San Diego before its launch in 1997.
